Calgary, AB, September 26, 2013 – Propellus (formerly Volunteer Calgary) launched its new website: www.propellus.org. The website’s new design reflects the organization’s expanded services, which now include key areas of non-profit management: Fund Development, People Engagement, Governance and Leadership.
Enhancements to the website include improved navigation and a dynamic interface, which allow users to browse and access services, training and volunteer opportunities with greater ease.
“The new website is more user-friendly and provides a more streamlined approach to accessing our services,” says Karen Franco, Director of Communications for Propellus.
“We are so much more than a volunteer centre now and our new website highlights that,” says Franco. “Our volunteer database will be transferred to the new website. People will still be able to go to the new site and search for volunteer opportunities like always.”
Following the announcement of the new name and brand last June 20, the launch of the website is the last big step in the organization’s rebranding process. The new name, Propellus, reflects their mission to ‘strengthen organizations’ and reinforces their vision of ‘thriving, engaged communities.’ The transformation from Volunteer Calgary to Propellus began in 2011, following the expansion of services offered by the organization to support the non-profit sector.
Over the course of the organization’s long history, volunteers have always been and continue to be an important resource for the non-profit sector. Propellus continues to promote and connect volunteers and non-profit organizations through their services, including their new website.
